KEMOCYN CAPSULES (Tetracycline Hydrochloride Capsules I.P.)

KEMOCYN Capsules contain Tetracycline Hydrochloride I.P., a broad-spectrum antibiotic used in the treatment of various bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Therapeutic Indications Respiratory tract infections Urinary tract infections Skin and soft tissue infections Gastrointestinal infections Acne and other infections caused by susceptible bacteria Mechanism of Action Tetracycline Hydrochloride inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, thereby exerting a bacteriostatic effect against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Dosage & Administration Dosage should be taken as prescribed by the physician. Preferably taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. Avoid milk, dairy products, antacids, and iron preparations during therapy. Precautions & Warnings Contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation, and children below 8 years due to risk of tooth discoloration. Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Prolonged use may lead to superinfection. Possible Side Effects Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea Photosensitivity reactions Rarely: hypersensitivity reactions Storage Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
