Plastic injection molding is a highly repeatable manufacturing process used to mass-produce identical parts. Raw plastic pellets are melted in a heated barrel and injected under high pressure into a custom-machined metal mold. Once cooled and solidified, the mold opens, and ejector pins release the finished part.
